MUSEUM-ON-THE-GO

Outreach Program

Thanks to generous seed funding from the Junior League of Napa Sonoma in 2008, our first program, the Museum-on-the-Go, was more fully developed as an outreach program to serve all children of Sonoma County regardless of language, race, ethnicity, gender, or socioeconomic status.  Since its inception, the Museum-On-the-Go has served more than 10,000 children and their caregivers at over 140 events throughout Sonoma County.  Many of these events have been in low-income neighborhoods and under-served schools or institutions.

The Museum-on-the-Go also travels to many family-friendly community events giving parents and caregivers the opportunity to play and discover science, arts and nature alongside their children.  Generally, these events are free to attendees.
